The Motley Fool A comprehensive investment resource for small investors. They say their "purpose is to inform, educate and amuse the individual investor." The Fool started in August of 1994 when Tom and David Gardner first put a small, self-published magazine called The Motley Fool on America Online. They have grown since and have their own website and partners, but their amusing and irreverant attitude remains.
New York Times Business Connections Provides one-stop shopping for the most authoritative business-related network resources available. For example, the Markets listings include links to all U.S. exchanges, foreign exchanges, and selected market information sites. The Investing section offers a dozen links to general information and a half-dozen more to the top investment companies and trading services such as Merrill Lynch, Paine Webber, and Charles Schwab.

Big Charts This stock quote service provides not only current quotes but historical data back to January 2, 1985 (click on "Historical Quotes" in the green bar). The charts created graphically illustrate industry performance within specific indexes, market overviews and trends, and the performance of specific stocks over time. Comparison charts display percentage scales ; standard price scales are displayed when you remove comparisons from the chart.
EDGAR Online means EDGAR (Electronic Data Gathering Analysis and Retrieval), the SEC (Security and Exchange Commission) data base of required corporate filings, the source for current SEC electronic corporate filings.
Hoover's StockScreener Search Search for public companies by up to 20 fields, including Current P/E, Growth Rates, Company Size, and Profit Margin. They also have an option to narrow by stock exchange and industry group. The results of the search can be sorted by the criteria used, or the search can be refined.
