The Friends of the Bartow County Library System is an association of community members that value our library and advocates support through membership and volunteer participation.

The Friends of the Bartow County Library System holds quarterly meetings open to the general membership. These meetings are usually followed by a program or event.

The Friends of the Bartow County Library System is made up of individuals dedicated to assisting the development and improvement of services in the library.  Friends believe that any community with a modern, well-equipped library with an up-to-date collection is a better place to live.  Friends view the library as a dynamic educational force and the cultural and research center of the community.

The Friends organization is established for the purpose of aiding the library. Many citizens assume that libraries grow and stay great by themselves. The Friends of the Bartow County Library System know that no civic function can prosper without the lively interest of the citizens. With the complex and pressing issues facing our district as it continues to grow, the library need Friends - staunch supporters of library programs, willing workers for better library services for everyone, advocates for library legislation, and sponsors of seminars, lectures, and forums.
