Mission
The Friends of the Bartow County Library System is an association of community members that values our library and advocates support through membership and volunteer participation.
What is a Friend?
The Friends of the Bartow County Library System is made up of individuals dedicated to assisting the development and improvement of services and facilities in the library.
Friends believe that any community with a modern, well-equipped library is a better place to live. Friends realize the value of books and reading. Friends view the library as a dynamic educational force and the cultural and research center of the community.
The Friends organization is established for the purpose of aiding the library. Many citizens assume that libraries grow and stay great by themselves. The Friends of the Bartow County Library System know that no civic function can prosper without the lively interest of the citizens. With the complex and pressing issues facing our district as it continues to grow, librarians need Friends - staunch supporters of library programs, willing workers for better library services for everyone, advocates for library legislation, and sponsors of seminars, lectures, and forums.
Membership Information
Join Today! With the exception of minor administrative and mailing costs, all collected monies are for the benefit of the Bartow County Library System.

General Membership Meetings
The Friends of the Bartow County Library System holds quarterly meetings open to the general membership. These meetings are usually followed by a program or event. If tickets are required to attend, members are always offered a reduced rate. Elections to the Board of Directors are held during the October annual meeting, usually in the third week of the month.
Book Sales
The Friends sell used books quarterly to support the library.
