Masterpiece Mystery! Book and Film Club focuses on Super Sleuths in print and film. Participants are invited to watch the film, read the accompanying book(s) and meet with the club to discuss both.
The Club is limited to 15 registered members. Others may attend, but they will not have member privileges. Members only may check out material from the discussion kits which include additional books and movies not available to the public. Members will receive advance notice of future discussion programs and reminders of new episodes featuring your favorite Masterpiece Super Sleuths. Members will also participate in determining future discussion subjects and additional Club activities.

Read the novel, Wire in the Blood by Val McDermid and watch the ITV film adaptation starring Robson Green as the brilliant, passionate and eccentric, clinical psychologist and profiler Dr. Tony Hill. In season one, episode 2 Shadows Rising, Dr. Hill works alongside the ambition and driven Detective Inspector Carol Jordan (Hermione Norris of MI5 fame) to track a serial killer responsible for the murders of dozens of teenage girls. When two teenagers’ bodies are pulled from a Northumberland tarn, Dr Tony Hill immediately suspects a multiple killer. DI Carol Jordan is called to the home of popular chat show hosts Jack and Amanda Vance, who fear they are being stalked. As the dead girls are identified as suspected runaways, the attacks on the Vances escalate dramatically. Could the two investigations be connected?
