The Bartow County Public Library has programs and storytimes for children of all ages! Drop in for a fun morning or afternoon of stories and crafts!

Special Programs

Pokemon Clans
Saturday, October 1st - 2:00pm-3:30pm

Drop in and play, battle and trade with your fellow Pokemon fans using Pokemon cards or Pokemon X/Y or Alpha/Sapphire/Omega Ruby. Must bring your own Pokemon cards and/or DS to participate. Ages 8-18 to play, but all ages can play GO! around the library and do the craft.

A Plus
Every Tuesday, Beginning September 13th - 4:30pm-5:30pm

A + is a place for elementary school students to get one-on-one homework assistance provided by local teen volunteers. Every Tuesday, kids can come for fun, character building games and activities and get the homework help they need to succeed! The program will be presented by Galit and Aviel Ratson of Woodland High School alongside other teen volunteers. To attend, text @apluskids to 81010. To be a teen volunteer, text @aplusapp to 81010.

Coding 101
Tuesday, October 4th - 5:00pm-6:30pm

Kids can have a blast creating video games in this fun and innovative six-week course sponsored by Sylvan Learning of Cartersville. Kids will learn basic coding, programming and problem solving. Registration is required and the fee is $100 per student. Register in the Administration Department. For grades 3-5.

Little Bits - Synths
Thursday, October 6th - 4:00pm

Join us for a fun music making program featuring the Little Bits Korg synthesizer kits! Ages 9 and up. Registration required.

Georgia Mountain Falconry
Saturday, October 8th - 10:00am

Get an up close and informative look at birds of prey, including the owl, hawk, and falcon! Featuring the Georia Mountain Falconry

Lego Build Day
Saturday, October 8th - 2:00pm

Build new lego creations using the library's Lego collection and display it in the library!

iPad Lab
Thursday, October 13th - 4:00pm

Make stop motion animated movies by using Smoovie on the library iPads! Ages 9 and up. Registration Required.

Girl's Club
Thursday, October 13th - 6:00pm

Coraline screening and snacks. Registration required. Ages 8-12.

Kids Cook
Friday, October 14th - 4:00pm

This month we will be baking and decorating Halloween cookies! Ages 8-12. Registration required.


Rock and Rhyme Baby Time (Infants – 18 months)
A perfect place to share stories, songs, finger plays and action rhymes with the littlest ones!

Practice your reading skills with a friendly therapy dog! Participants will get a free book of their choice to take home!

Book Buddies
