The Bartow County Public Library has programs and storytimes for children of all ages! Drop in for a fun morning or afternoon of stories and crafts!

Special Programs

The library also features special performances and programs at various times during the year, including an extensive Children’s Summer Reading Program.  Please check back via the website or our Facebook account throughout the year and sign up for our monthly e-lert to stay informed on all of the library happenings.

Book Buddies
Book Buddies is a vounteer-based literacy program to help children develop a love of reading through positive reading experiences. Children ages 4-9 have fun reading with a teen volunteer. Every child who participates receives their choice of a free book after each Book Buddy meeting so they can continue reading at home. Book Buddies meets the last Thursday of each month at the Cartersville Public Library.

Picture Book Science
Snow Science! Learn how snow is formed and make some of your own. Ages 8 and up. Registration required. Signups start January 4th.

Valentine Girl's Club
Valentine's Day crafts, snacks, and games! Registration required. Ages 8-12. Signups start January 4th.

Pokemon Tournament
Do you have what it takes to be a Pokemon champion? Enter the tournament and see! Must have own DS and copy of Black/White, X/Y, or Alpha/Omega. Ages 8-18. Signups start January 4th.

Little Bits Artbots
Design a drawing machine using craft materials and Little Bits circuits! Ages 8-12. Registration Required.

A perfect place to share stories, songs, finger plays and action rhymes with the littlest ones!

Tail Waggin' Tutors
TWT is a special reading program where children come to the library to practice their reading skills by reading to a friendly, therapy dog.  Every child who attends can pick out a free book of their choice. Register at the Children's Desk
