The Bartow County Public Library has programs and storytimes for children of all ages! Drop in for a fun morning or afternoon of stories and crafts!

Special Programs

Pokemon Clans
Saturday, September 3rd - 2:00pm-3:30pm

Drop in and play, battle and trade with your fellow Pokemon fans using Pokemon cards or Pokemon X/Y or Alpha/Sapphire/Omega Ruby. Must bring your own Pokemon cards and/or DS to participate. Ages 8-18. We will also be dropping Pokemon GO! lures from 2-3:30pm, so see what types of Pokemon you can find in the library!

Picture Book Science
Thursday, September 8th - 4:00pm

This month, we will explore Newton's First Law of Motion and build a racer out of craft materials and make it go! Ages 8-12. Registration Required

Lego Build Day
Saturday, September 10th - 2:00pm-3:30pm

Build new lego creations using the library's Lego collection and display it in the library!

A Plus
Every Tuesday, Beginning September 13th - 4:30pm-5:30pm

A + is a place for elementary school students to get one-on-one homework assistance provided by local teen volunteers. Every Tuesday, kids can come for fun, character building games and activities and get the homework help they need to succeed! Kids Cook
Friday, September 16th - 4:00pm-5:00pm

Learn how to make naturally sweetened gummy candy! Ages 8-12. Registration Required.

Stellar Reading: A program for parents
Tuesday, September 27th - 6:30pm

Does your child have trouble spelling or reading? Could it be dyslexia? Join tabitha Molina and Donna Williams form Stellar Reading to learn about the signs of dyslexia and the help available from Stellar Reading Center.

Tail Wagging Tutors
Practice your reading skills with a friendly therapy dog! Participants will get a free book of their choice to take home!

Book Buddies
