2013 Teen Summer Reading Program
Registration Begins May 24th
How to participate
For grades 6-12 only.
Participation determined by the grade you will be going into in Fall 2013.
STEP 1: Sign up at any Bartow County Library or online
STEP 2: Color in one box on your reading log for every hour that you read.
STEP 3: For every 2 rows you complete, visit a library to receive your choice of a prize or coupon for free food!
STEP 4: Complete 4 rows and enter to win one of three $25 cash prize!
STEP 5: Fill in the entire log, receive a free book of your choice, and be entered into our end of the summer $50 grand prize drawing!
Begins May 24th - Ends July 27th

4th- Tuesday (2:00-5:00PM) - Game On! - Play card games, board games, and PS3 and Wii games on the big screen with your friends at the library!
11th- Tuesday (2:00-4:00PM) - Minecraft – Play Minecraft on the library laptops with a large group or bring your own. Must already have your own Minecraft account.
20th- Thursday (6:00-7:00PM) - Craft Night: Tie Dye - Make a cool tie dye t-shirt, tote bag, pillowcase or whatever you want! Bring your own item, we’ll supply the dye!
22nd- Saturday (9:30AM - 1:30PM) - Practice SAT - Test your SAT skills and get a jumpstart on acing the test! Registration starts May 13th. Register at kaptest.com or call 1-800-KAPTEST and use registration code SKKHI3002. Sponsored by Kaplan Test Prep.
27th- Thursday (2:00-4:00PM) - Live Action Mario Kart - Race our course against your friends! Bring your own box to decorate your cart during pre-race activities. Registration begins June 13th at the Teen Desk. Hurry, registration is limited to 20!
27th- Thursday (6:00-7:00PM) - Write Now! Teen Creative Writing Club - Like to write? Learn, get feedback and spend an hour of devoted writing time with other teens. Poetry and prose welcome!
July

13th- Saturday (1:00-4:00PM) - AnimeCon - Join your fellow anime fans for this afternoon of games, contests, and cosplay!
16th- Tuesday (6:00-7:00PM) - Craft Night: Dream Catchers - Make a cool dream catcher out of an old container lid!
18th- Thursday (5:30-7:30PM) - Interactive Movie featuring Labyrinth (Rated PG) - An interactive movie experience! Watch for clues and react with crazy actions when the moments show up on screen!
23rd - Tuesday (6:00-7:30PM) - Pitch Perfect (Rated PG13) - Join us for this aca-hilarious movie on the big screen
25th- Thursday (6:00-7:00 PM) - Write Now! Teen Creative Writing Club - Like to write? Learn, get feedback and spend an hour of devoted writing time with other teens. Poetry and prose welcome!
